    Pipe diameter

I was planning on putting a custom exhaust in my car but i dont know how
large i should go. people said 2.25 is good without loosing to much BP but just getting more opinions. i only plan on having a SRI on my engine and
ive also read in a forum that from the cat converter to the muffler is where you should change your pipe... is that true?:superconf:D

No point in an exhaust if you will be swapping in a 2JZ because then you'll need yet another exhaust.

Yeah well regardless if you did a 3S-GTE later on, you would still need to re-do the exhaust but yeah go for a 3" if you plan on going 3S-GTE.

If you decide not to you with a 3SGTE though, 3 inch piping will make you lose massive power.

3 inch would be too much. If you do turbo (3sgte), then all you need is piping. Not really a need for a muffler.

just wait til you do your 3sgte swap and from there you can do your 3in custom exhaust and if not gonna happen anytime soon go 2.25in.
