    huh?

I mean does heat wrapping the intake manifold increase power?

And so the high flow cat's are good?

Not really. It keeps engine temperatures down and isolated in the manifold so you'll have longer engine life and more efficiency aka maybe more gas mileage? lol It's basically to protect other components from heat.

They don't do much unless you're pushing a lot of power. No point in wasting money to upgrade unless you need to replace a failing cat.

Personally, I heard ups and downs regarding wrapping the headers... I first saw it in the jacky chan movie Thunderbolt... and after looking into it- some headers seem to heat up way-crack, hotspots, etc. However, I have been tempted to try the thermotec stuff which is the only one I've seen recommended. Their "gimmick" is that the material evenly distributes the heat.

Yes, there are stories of heat wrap superheating the header to the point of cracking. I would only wrap if I know the header material is strong enough to retain excess heat.
