    My new turbo build.

well for those who of you dont know ive torn down my motor and am in process of a re-build in anticipation of the new turbo. as i was tearing down the motor i was pleased to still see the hone in the cylinder wall and as i continued to remove the first piston and rod i found this.

i then proceded to pull the crank and found this....

so the crank and the block are off at the machine shop. so now on to the rods...

they are tiny... i busted out laughing when i first saw them and new that it was less than acceptible and had to change. so i ordered a set of these.

    http://www.belfabracing.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=44

and then ordered a set of forged wiseco's to match.as for the stock pistons they help up extremely well barelly any scuffing on the skirts.the rods too even though they are tiny held up fairly well.

here the measurements on the block and crank i decided not mic what i wasnt going to use. i will re-mic everything when i get the block and crank back.

That new turbo is too big. Its going to take forever to spool up. But good luck, looks like alot of work.

No such thing as too big, only too small... In this case, all you need to know how to do is break boost if you are doing rolling races or ad some nitrus to get her up and spooling :D

    Goodluck!

^ Oh $h!t. That might take all 1/4 mile to spool up... But when it does... :ninjastea

How would you explain that to your opponent...
Dude1: what do you have under that hood??
Dude2: why don't you see for yourself...
    Dude1: OMGSHWTF?

    BTW, what is that for?

damn guys its not that big...:D no seriously it should spool in around 4000 rpms and as soon as i get some other stuff i will put a blacktop head on it and then it should have a more usable power band, but with the five speed look at where the rpms drop on a hard run. its usually around 4k anyway.its just first gear. but the megasquirt can 2 stage rev limit so hopefully that will help and the 10.5-1 cr will make a dent also.

believe it or not they make bigger turbos than this.....

I think I remember steve telling me that the civic radiator fit very well, even the radiator hoses didn't need to be modified. Pick up a all aluminum dual core, they're cheap since everyone has a civic.
