lol he definately didnt read my post...

i dont need any handouts, trust me. im a very educated person and skilled in my trade. i make over 80k a year and i want to keep it, not pay out more than i already do for people who are too lazy to make something of themselves. his hairbrained schemes directly affect me, my income, and my well being.

obama strongly supports redistribution of wealth, a "fairness doctrine", and many other highly socialist views and policies. he isnt all bad, but he just doesnt have what it takes.

but like i said, i hope im wrong... i hope he is a liar and he doesnt actually believe the the things he says. i hope he actually runs this country like it should be run.

No one, so the rest of your post after your above statement is retarded

Again....you dont need to post up the articles from weeks ago. What is the purpose of your post?

How do YOU know this? And you are basing your opinions of Obama off of ONE issue. (and that one issue isnt necessarily Socialist)

i draw my political opinion based on my unique situations and how they will be affected by the plans that come directly from the horses mouth. i would never be so naive to write a candidate off over ONE issue, no one candidate has all of my best interests in mind... i just choose the candidate with the most of them in mind.

i can only hope that is the case... seeing as how he is allowing bushes tax cuts to lapse and has to fund his 1trillion+ new spending plan from somewhere.

i believe it when i see it... as it stands now im preparing myself to pay more.

and lets not forget that he can draw from the people and not necessarily call it a tax. where do you think the funding will come from for his socialized healthcare plan? how about his funding for his retarded "the government should help give the little guy a chance" plan?

oh thats right, he wants to cut funding to our military. BRILLIANT!

Hes not letting them lapse.....he just isnt EXTENDING some of them, and are replacing some of them with new ones.

Why? His tax plan wont be affecting you.

Many countries have a plan similar to his and none of them are considered socialist countries. And where does funding come from for ANY plan that is proposed? He'll be cutting the unecessaries and replacing them with what he deems necessary.....youre already paying for a shit load of stuff that you arent even aware of. It will be no different with Obama

He'll be cutting unecessary military spending. Your boy McCain, even though is is 100% pro-military, was against certain military spending that would have protected the troops!

    Shit? WTF happened man?

In addition....some are worried about the Dems holding the power and taking our country into a worse nosedive than Bush and his peeps did.

Well, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 is a major cause of the current economic crisis, and that was backed by a Republican weighted Congress, with McCain and Gramm leading the way. The same Republicans still maintain that deregulation and the "free-market" will fix itself (I should add that having a regulated, free market does not constitute Marxism, communism, OR socialism). It will not fix itself if it hasn't already.

Nice try. You yourself are already a part of that civilian national security force, my friend.
It seems clear that he meant to say, in effect, that the security of the nation is as dependent on its unarmed community service providers as it is on its armed military personnel. His point is that national security begins with civilians. (can you argue that point?) American's heard the same message throughout World War II, and they heard that same message starting on September 12th 2001. Except in his case, he means to marshal volunteers for social service and economic equality.
You can pick apart his words and make assumptions all you want. It wont fly.

Your link picks and chooses his words..and leaves out some vital info....some more of what comes after the above comment:

""Because the future of our nation depends on the soldier at Fort Carson, but is also depends on the teacher in East LA, the nurse in Appalachia, the after-school worker in New Orleans..."

We can play this back and forth game all week. Im game.

Please.... Nate and I have debated for the last 10 years. (yes, 10 years now) We may get harsh with eachother, but in the long run we respect eachother in the end, and I assume that there are never hard feelings.

The problem with a debate about the President is that its not definate...hell, maybe in 2 years Im going to be eating my words and regretting my decision to back Obama...if that happens, Ill be the first to admit my mistake. I dont consider Obama a messiah. I do think hes a Messiah compared to McSame though. I KINDA regret my decision of backing Bush in 2000 and again in 2004.

And for the record, its 3PM on a Friday and Im pretty drunk! WOOT. (4 day weeks for me now..10 hour days FTW) I also just sucked out to win 45 bucks on a 2 dollar poker tourney online! Yeah boy!

with cutting spending to the war, ron paul's stance was to get everyone out now and soldiers gave more money to him than the other candidates during the primaries. after that was over, soldiers donated more to obama who is also wanting out of iraq. i take that as majority of the soldiers wanting out of the sh!t hole.
