    99 to 01 conversion questions

I am thinking about doing a 99 to 01 conversion. Is the 99 hood different also? What else do I need other than the headlights, front bumper, and hood if its different. Is it a straight bolt on. I might go to the junk yard and try to source a front bumper the same color as mine so I don't have to paint it. Headlights im thinking of getting the Black housing with amber corners and maybe a HID projector retro fit. Fogs also thinking of running 4300k HID kit.

You'll need to swap out the fenders too......I think....or is just for the Prizms?

Check Vamp's site. I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but I won't have the time untill I graduate in May. According to Vamp's site you don't need to get new fenders, you just have to make some holes for the bumper guides.

I had to swich my fenders and hood on my car, but I have a Prizm. I believe for the corollas its just the Front bumper and headlight assemblies. Hood should be the same.

The conversion is simple, change your 99 front bumber with the 01 bumber then just get 01 head units, then you'll be set, maybe anywhere between 150-250 though. good luck!

No my car is just a daily driver thats in need of some tlc. Im recovering her from an accident that happend not too long ago (pics in accident pic thread) And I just bought Rollatuners NEX SS coilovers. Im planning on getting into autocross in the future though. My car just isnt worthy at all yet. Basicly bone stock. I bought her a year ago for $800.00 and it needed lots of little things. I just want the car to look nice before I start beefing up the suspension and everything else.

I have done this conversion, the hood and fenders are the same, just need new bumper, headlights, and Corner lights. You will have to rewire the headlight harness, as the 01
s have a seperate high and low beam, but its not hard.

That's tight, anyhow i'm kinda in the same book. Building up the exterior first, but i've got a little bit done to the motor. I'm just waiting on the 2zzge motor, which should be put in by this comming spring. Other then that i've got my suspensions and wheels, and much more to come....
