yes, they are allowed to write tickets for modifications that break the law. in California, this includes exhaust modifications. i suggest you start researching California vehicle modification laws so you know what you can and cannot do in the future.

IDK if you can just "take a pic" of your car with the OEM exhaust on to dismiss the ticket...

generally, an officer would need to see the car to sign off on it...so this would fail.

take it to court with the stock exhaust on. that will work. tell the evidence, your car, is too big to fit in the court room.

Just go to the cops house at night time and cut his muffler off and put a fart can on it. Wait for him to come out in the morning and start his car up. Then just say whats the difference officer? Your car sounds just like mine! :D

    Jk dont do that. lol

it doesnt matter what state the car is registered in. road laws are state specific. so if its legal in vegas, and illegal in cali, he can still get a ticket. kinda like speeding. if i go to wyoming and speed, and im from colorado....i still have to go to court.

Not necessarily. IIRC, the NH tint laws are under the inspection statutes (SAFC 3200), not under the Motor Vehicle Code (Title 21 of the State RSAs). We do have a MVC statute on mufflers (must prevent excessive or unusual noise- the "no louder than stock" clause was repealed in 2004)...none on tint. None that I can recall offhand, anyway.

But hey, what do I know. ;)

IIRC, in colorado dark window tint is in the Motor Vehicle Code...and it doesnt matter what state the car is registered in (brother got ticketed the other week) you proved my point of every state has different rules. ;);););););) cali has very strict rules on window tint, and its an offense you can get pulled over for if the cops cant see into your car they are even allowed to tow it away its for safety reasons, for the driver and the police officer.

Yes, each state does have different rules. However, not all states enforce their own rules upon vehicles registered in other states.

I just double-checked the tint law- turns out it is in the MVC as well (shows how often I stop people for it...heh), and it is specific to vehicles registered in New Hampshire. It's illegal here, but if you're registered out-of-state you're in the clear. Hence my earlier use of the phrase "not necessarily." ;)

NH doesn't allow any front window tint at all..it sucks. :(

    I'd go for it.

does your school have a spelling class? you even spelled campus wrong.

as for the exhaust, in so cal you need to go to get it tested by a state referee if they send you there.

Yeah, and if it's too quiet, they complain too. Like the Prius. Stupid people and their stupid rules.
