    Damaged tranny

    Hello all,

Sadly, my corolla got repo:sad:. However, after negotiating w/ the finance company I finally got it back:). I got the corolla back with the both rear control arms bent because the repo man towed it there. cost me $600.00 to fix. Also a bad tranny. I saw skid marks on my driveway evidence that it was towed backward in gear or "P". The car has no 1st gear and reverse. Can the tranny go bad because it got towed backwards in "P" ? Also a it has a damaged door handle, dented bumper cover among others.

Please advice. Do you guys think I can sue the repo company for damages?

Ya insurance is already notified and police report taken cared off. I asked the finance company if my car would be in the same condition as when it was taken. They said yes but it turned out otherwise. I told the finance company and they said to talk to the repo company. I talked to the repo company and they did not take responsibility for the damage so I'm thinking of contacting a lawyer.

The rear control arms were bent so bad. Instead of being straight, they are bent about 30 degrees so I know that it was pulled with so much force.

If I only knew I would have done the same. I had no idea it was in danger because I made an equivalent of 2 payments 60 days prior. Oh well.
