Maybe a hood scoop would fix that. Another idea is relocating the battery and have the intake where the battery is at right now.

thats not a bad idea but its not near the exhaust manifold and were the intake is there is nothing there so i dont see how it is getting hot air

Your intake is sucking up the hot air right above the exhaust manifold. The heat rises and can't escape when it hits the hood. You'll want to route the intake to the front of the car and not the back.

Looks good. A few things I noticed.

The engine bay needs a good cleaning

I would replace the intake for one that's made for the 1ZZ, dunno why the stock elbow is being used.

The interior needs a good cleaning, both of the dirt and rice.

    You need new tires, ASAP

I just prefer the all black interior that the S provides.

If he likes it thats fine with me its not my car I am just putting my .02 cents in.

Wow, the first thing I would do, of all the mentioned things, is replace that rear tire. A bald tire is not a racing slick.

lol, lota suggestions. here's mine, its simple really... go down to Wal-Mart and get a bottle of Armor All for (10 bucks i think?) plastic wipes and wipe down all your rubber parts i.e. (all the engine hoses, VVT-i cover, interior etc...) it would look like the day you bought it

hey don't relocate your batteries, revert your intake back to stock for now... and if you have the time reblacken your interior
    keep it simple
