    Miami/Ft Lauderdale

    Anyone here local to Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood/Miami?

    Will be headed down there in October for a vacation and want some suggestions on things to do.

    Im staying at the Hyatt, Pier 66 in Lauderdale. Anything you suggest to do around there?

    We plan on snorkeling and taking the water taxi around town.
    Ill definately be hitting up the Casino as well.

    Yeah. I'm close to Fort Lauderdale, actually Pembroke Pines. But besides the Hard Rock, theres not much as far as night life in Broward. You have to go to Miami Beach or downtown.

    What nightclubs do you all recommend?

    And Nyrican, Ive been told that there is a great deal of nightlife in the Fort Lauderdale area....

    Himmarshees, Americas Backyard, Brick Bar, DiceyRileys, Voodoo, etc

    Depends what you like, and how old you are. America's Backyard is cool, but I find that Ft. Lauderdale has a crowd thats a little older than me. I'm 24, so I like to stick to Miami and the Hard Rock. But besides clubs there's alot of stuff to do in Ft. Lauderdale during the day, just search online. Also when are you coming down? Because the water at the beach gets cold soon.

    And I like late 20s, early 30s crowd more nowadays anyways.....sick of dealing with the college kids and the post college kids that think theyre still in college.

    Just be prepared with some back up plans if you're planning on being outside, cause the other day they said a 10% chance of rain and it poored all day.

    u have mostly bars in fort lauderdale, some clubs in hard rock (not sure, been there once or twice). down in miami beach and downtown u have mostly clubs, but a pain to get in the good ones. unless u know someone :D ,but halloween horror nights is on now
