    stage 2 clutch help

    ok so my stock clutch is dyeing really fast and cant handle my mods so i was wandering if anyone could help me find a good stage 2 for cheep

    i was gonna say. unless he's pushing more than 6 lbs of boost the stock clutch should be FINE. (I've run 8lbs on a stock clutch with no issues)

    oh ok i just have header back ex. and intake on my 7th gen.

    i had a couple mechanics say that the little extra power i was pushing was to much for the clutch but it does have almost 130000 miles on it

    so what do you guy think i should go with cause the one i have is dead.

    eh...i dont think those mods are enough to justify a stronger clutch..

    they really aren't. But, if you want a better pedal feel, see if Competition clutch has a Stage 1 kit that will fit the car. It'll run ya around 300 bucks. Supposedly, it'll last longer than the stock Autozone mess will and some of the 2zz guys swear by it. That's mostly because the xrs got a poopy factory unit that burns up with the high rpm shifts, lol.

    thanks guys

    my clutch wont even grab in the higher rpms so i am taking it to get it fix today parts and labor for 600 and they are going to re service the fly wheel

    you must have a heavy foot with that mods a stg1 clutch should hold all that power,unless the clutch you buy is crap.

    yeah i tend to drive my car really hard but its fun corollas are just fun to drive fast and they are good at corners

    I'd say your pads are just shot. a new stock clutch should be plenty with less than 10% over original horsepower (intake & exhaust)

    yeah thats what i was thinking so its being installed right now cause i need my car asap


    what other mods do you guess suggest for more horse power
