(finally) Just bought a GPS

So I went out and finally bought myself a GPS since I'm realizing i'm traveling more although gas prices are high and I keep getting lost.. So My new toy is the Garmin Nuvi 260. I don't know if I like it or not. I just opened up the box, the contents of the box is laying all over my bed while I connect the Unit to my computer and getting my free update for my GPS. Freakin thing is taking me almost 2 hours to download.

So in the mean time, I am exploring the contents of my GPS and since its connected to the computer, I think I can hack a few things. Not sure how well it's going to turn out but My plan is to hack as much of this GPS as I can. Hopefully all works out well and I don't screw up the new device (which I haven't even used yet).

bby has the nuvi 200 for 149 and you canget 50 off with the coupon. = 100 or you can get the 260 for 250-50=200 which also includes TTS. I bought he more expensive one.

I'm happy with my Garmin Nuvi 250. It gets me from point A to point B.

well hack or.. customize beyond what the actual gps will allow.

i want tto try to change the voices, sound effects, and the arrow icon to something they don't offer.

I have one and its great. Dont use all the time but its cool.

i got my nuvi 660 for 350 like 5 or 6 months ago .. it was on sale at amazon.com
