I like the sleeper aspect of it. For show, I have my SW20. :p

I do like the look of the newer GT4's better, but I won't be able to get (either) one anyway.

    No kidding, lol.

A friend rolled his down a highway embankment, flipped it something like three times, and walked away with little more than a bruise on his head. The damn thing even ran after the wrecker driver flipped it back over.

This thing was built like a brick shathouse. Add a cage and it's pretty much stagerally ready. I'd actually rather be in it as a 20 year old car than my new Corolla if in a similar situation.

Oh, I'm sure I'll find another one later..but the thing is, this would be a great race car (and it's cheap-ish)..but I don't need another one- already have three vehicles!

I would love to get this, but I don't want to spend so much money restoring it, when I can just get a newer AWD turbo platform and use the money to upgrade it.

Why do that? Get a Subaru for much cheaper. If you want to do a drivetrain swap into the Corolla, save up and swap in the MR2 Spyder drivetrain along with the RWD mid engine setup. :D That's what I'll do in the far far future.

Folks do that with the late 80s and early 90s Camrys. There was a Camry All-trac with a non-turbo 3s. The swap is straightforward.

Yeah. The the motor will site where the backseats are and a double wall of plexi and glass will separate the motor from the cabin. The underhood would be gutted except for the brake booster, ac lines, a few miscellaneous, and have a trunk plate welded in to hold a spare or luggage. :D

I wouldn't use PMMA as a firewall.. the glass transition temperature is way too low.
