    An 11-year-old girl died

    Quote:
An 11-year-old St. Petersburg girl died at her home last week while playing what is called the choking game, or suffocation roulette.

Deneathia Service died on June 15, after tying a belt around her neck in a dangerous game that activists say give children a high and is being played by adolescents in the United States, Canada and other areas of the world.

According to a police report, the girl, a student at Gulfport Elementary Montessori School, was playing the game with her 5-year-old sister, Cyneathia, after church. Her mother had left the house to pick up a relative and get pizza for dinner. Her 12-year-old brother found her, police said, with a belt around her neck. The brother cut the belt with a steak knife, but Deneathia showed no signs of life.

The girl's family has declined comment.

What the hell is wrong with kids today? For God sake this has to be some kind of Darwinism cuz if someone was dumb enough to do something like this then they deserve to die.

that is kinda harsh to say about an 11 year old child. At least the 5 yr old was smart enough not to kill her self.

What is wrong with these children nowadays? I think it has to do with their upraising. Alot of parents dont take an active role in their childrens lives. Kids from an early age are exposed to many different things. Violence, sex and and un healthy lifestyles. I think that is why there are so many school shootings now. Its not hard to believe that things like this happen every day becasue Children are so easily influenced that when they hear about things like this at school or from friends that its cool they should try it, they go and do it not knowing the real consequences and the dangers that could happen.

Well suicide is better than homicide or genocide imo. :) I'd rather have mass suicides than another Columbine incident. If people want to kill themselves, so be it. Just don't kill others that actually want to live. Just my two cents.

I totally agree. It's all up to upbringing. Parents always complain that they don't understand their children. But do they make the effort to? Where are they as mentors?

what is wrong with kids is the lack of "parenting" from "parents".

Wow I knew I shouldn't of came in this tread. Yay stupid is as stupid does, HOWEVER No 11 year old DESERVES to die.

Yes could not agree more. However look at our society!!! It takes two parents two jobs just to make ends meet. Now this is going to make me sound way old. However when I grew up my mom never worked and my father only worked one job. You dont see to much of that now days we are a 24 hour 8 days a week society.
