    looking to turbo my car

it will be the last step before i start saving up for the ae86 rebirth. ive been reading up but still have a few questions im hoping some people could answer.

    1. if i buy one of those bolt ons i would still need to buy a fuel pump and all of those goodies wouldnt i?

    2. my engine is on 135k miles on it, would it be a better investment to say 2zz swap it

    3. what kind of hp could i expect to see. around 200 is what ive come to gather.

    4. how much could/would a custom fabbed kit from someone like tweak cost on average...

Hasn't all this been answered in old threads? Tweak charges around 6-7k.

tweak charged someone about 8k or maybe a lil more or a lil less but it was the complete job.

really nice turbo, good design, the fuel pump / injector upgrade and was able to push about 220ish hp on a stocker motor because of the great turbo design.

i paid close to 5K for the full setup only to have the turbo sieze on me due to lack of engine oil. my dad drove it for awhile and never put oil in it. so now its just being driven with a non-operational turbo and cracked housing.

yeah forget tweak, go see vortex. hahaha. i don't see why you would want to turbo the corolla, that car with too much power just wont handle too well in my opinion.

only thing i see wrong is the word investment. nothing would be a good investment when it comes to turbo or motor swap.

the best option would be to just drive your car as is or if you still feel you want to do something then buy a motor, build and then install it.
