I would like to know the same... Check out this pic of the TRD USA axleback for the 8th gen. Noticed how the exhaust pipe curves down to avoid hitting the rear bumper, whereas your sample pics are straight.

It looks like the TRD Japan use a larger canister than TRDUSA.. also notice the tip s welded lower on the muffler (not centered).. my guess is it will clear.. BUT remember Japan models has a shorter front and rear bumper (no 5MPH bumper/foam) so the tip would be a little more tucked in when installed on a USDM model.

The piping all have the same angle but notice how TRD Japan has a flange to bolt on the cat.. In the US the ZZE has the cat welded to the cat back B pipe. So a muffler shop would have to work on that part.

notice the TRD USA muffler.. if they welded the tip lower to the oval body they wouldn't have to do that angle. But then again TRD USA just rebadge magnaflow or borla.

its prolly cus of the design inside the muffler and they needed that space on the bottom

yea they didn't design the muffler from the ground up.. companies like apexi, greddy, tanabe would design the canister so that the tip would exit at the best location.

The TRD USA axleback is just a stocked universal oval Magnaflow muffler with a nice tip.

I believe the Kakimoto has two setups for AE101, one with a oval muffler one with a round canister.

I cant find any pics of the canister version.. unless I'm mistaken and they dont make it. But I was sure I saw one installed on a 7th gen in SF.

JspeXAE102- Will the AE110 exhaust look like this? Can you bring in just an axle back or perhaps just the muffler section and I can get the piping customized here in the US? I'm not a big fan of the canister style specially the loudness.

yes, the kakimoto system for the AE111 looks exactly like that. But from experience the kakimoto is louder than a fujitsubo system.. If you want I can put out a search for other oval exhaust systems for you to choose between.

That would be great. My car arrives on the 16-17th. I just need to get the DMV stuff taken care of and I will be quickly going to work on this car. I will be stopping by Memoryfab to do my "wheel shopping". :D
