i guess unless you have the money to change rims after every hardcore racing event then its ok to go light but cmon its ok for everyday driving, u dont wanna bend your rim on a branch you run over. my 17 knockoffs weigh in at ~18 lbs.

I don't put them to use on the track very much at all to warrant a forged wheel. LOL :D

I'll be getting some quality forged wheels for the next car. :)

Nice to know. You'll be the one I'll talk to when it's time to buy a new set of wheels. :D

If you lower as much as I do, then yes. It's always good to roll them for good measure.

Bending wheels comes with driving on low-profile tires in rough conditions.

To remedy this, get a tire with a taller sidewall for better impact absorption.

Having nice wheels does not make you a drag racer. Everyone has their own personal taste and budget when it comes to their cars.

Light weight rims doesn't mean they easily bend. It all depends on how the wheel was made. That's where "expensive" wheels excel, they put their money in R&D to make wheels light and strong.

Forged wheels are always the strongest. Some cast wheels tend to crack, but some are made well enough that they do not. I haven't had any damage to mine.

lets not forget about the cost for designing and prototyping original designs.. companies like rota and konig just make replicas so they don't have to bother paying artists, designers or engineers. Thats why I would rather buy a used wheel from a reputable company like Rays, Work, Advan, etc rather than buy a new set from those other companies.

Does anyone know what the ideal hub bore is for the 98-02 Corolla? I'm shopping around for wheels and I'm hoping to use as minimal hub centric rings as possible.

Jspex is dead on. Some companies will round up to 54.1 though. Just keep that in mind.
