lol i dont know what you are talking about bottoming out. i have h&r springs with kyb and i have never bottomed out. i love h&r springs but i'll probably go with tokico blues next time. its my DD car so i can't justify having a full coilover setup.

i love my "noob ass setup."

You must have nice roads where you live. Ever hit a pothole ? It is common knowledge that these lowering springs suck. Or it should be. Check out this thread:

KYB and Tokico HPs are fine as a stock replacement on stock springs. Just don't get lowering springs. Trust me, the crappy ride will get old.

What happens when you do ? Do you get a loud bang, thump, anything ?

A noob-ass set-up isn't has bad as you say. It is better than cutting/compressing/heat compressed springs.

93, you can take off your drum and put your wheel back. but if you drive your rear brakes wont work. your drums might be stuck so just hit them with a rubber mallet. easy dont break it.

as for springs, if you have the money go for the vortglands. then later on when you have more cash get yourself some tokico struts. they are not considered oem replacements, they are made to handle lowering springs.

yes that is my car in the sig. i really dont know the drop specs, but you can check on the eibach website. i think its somewhere from 1.5 to 1.8. i have tokicos up front and monroe in the back. i never bottom out either, and theres bumps and dips everywhere. also i took out my bumpstops.

Why take the drums off? I painted them while they were on my car. Just remove the wheels, put the car on jack stands and you're set.

oh ok, thats cool, im not gonna be driving much anyways, just was wondering if i can still drive, it might be less than a mile to take it back home from my mechanic, since im gonna get em powdercoated black for real cheap, thanks

next question lol, this thread could be like the 7th gen bible LOL
the lugnuts for my wheel, isnt there something where you get one which is different and youre the only one with the key, basically i dont want these getting stolen. I have the key for my wheels, but theyre like ordinary ones, seems as if someone else has the right size, they can come open the lugnuts and take em off, am i right? cause the one i have were provided by the wed sport, so i dont know if anyone else can come in and open them up or not

the rust needs to be taken off and all that, then powdercoating them, im gonna paint my front calipers red

You're talking about wheel locks. If you have nice wheels like Wedsports, I would invest in some 7 sided Volk Racing nuts.

I did the whole thing myself. You don't need powdercoating. Prep the calipers and drums with coarse, then fine sand paper. Clean it off, tape off areas to reduce overspray, and spray down with some high temp engine paint/ceramic caliper paint and let it cure for a while. Done. Won't cost you more than 20 bucks.

yea dont want anything to expensive as far as the wheel locks go, how can i know whats my size?

as for powdercoating, the guy is doing it for like $20 so hey, why not. any advice on painting the front calipers? is there a how to anywhere?

ok so i went to autozone to check out wheel locks, and it came to my mind, i actually do have a wheel lock, obviously provided by wedsport, but that lock opens up all the lugnets, so its one lock vs having 4 locks in a regular lugnut kit. How safe is the one provided by wedsport, you think id be fine with the one they provided?
I saw the 1.5 ones there and didnt know exactly what was on the toyotas.
as for the vamp DIY, kinda helps, but after seeing a few youtube videos, i think id be able to do the calipers myself with the brush, now drums are gonna be black, i was thinking of doing calipers red, but that might be wierd, or should i get the drums done red too? lol

IMHO, unless you have calipers worth showing off, black is the way to go. Why show off red stock one pot calipers???

Either method works fine. However, the spray is much cheaper. LOL :D
