with ground controls you can choose the spring rates before you order.. The ride quality is dependent on that, otherwise they'll just send you 300 lbs/in all around which is too high for the run of the mill tokico blues or KYB GR-2 corolla owners typically buy.

Is there any advantage of going with a GC type sleeve over a full coilover like a K-Sport? Anyone have any experience with Skunk2 coilovers? I think they are similar to the GCs.

zcorolla...ground-control is one of the best best coilover spring you can buy for the corolla, the ride is not bouncy(stock shocks)but i highly recommend you change out your shocks to tokico blues or kyb(no matter)since you'll be pulling it out at the same time when you changing out your springs.

I would recommend KW Variant 1 Coilovers. They have gotten good reviews on other car forums. Stiff yet comfortable. German suspension stuff is suppose to be superior to Japanese/Taiwan stuff.

why doesnt KW website(usa)is not showing specs for the corolla but on the KW website(british)shows it.now im wondering if the euro and usa corolla shares the same suspension?if they do i guess these is another option coilover for corolla owner to buy and i have to agree that german makes good suspension products.

LOL what ever happened to "Buyers beware"

Comparing Ksport to GC is like apples and oranges. Ksport is a full coilover kit with shock valving match to the spring plus a 2 way ride hight/preload adjustment and shcok compression/rebound adjustment. GC is just a threaded sleeve with a spring.

But despite all that I would still recommend Ground Control paired with a set of Koni adjustable inserts simply because GC/Koni has a MUCH better track record. Do a simple google search and you'll find people having problems with the Ksports brand left and right.

KW makes a very good product.. The euro application will fit.. like many other companies they don't believe there is a market in the US so they didn't release the application on the US website. You should be able to contact them to get pricing and purchasing info.

Click on the dealers link. Tunershop.com list specs.

I'm still curious how they compare to GR2s. I am thinking about getting some if the rears do fit.

Yes. The 7th and 8th gens have the same suspension. The coilovers are actually labeled for sale for the 93-02 Corolla's.

so rolla, what exactly is 8/6 spring rate? like the higher the number, the more stiffer they are? is this how u had ordered them? also is that like front/back?

The coilovers allow 0-5+ inches of lowering. Yes, the higher the spring rate, the stiffer they are. They are 8 kg front and 6 kg rear.

what does it come from the factory? so u specified these rates when ordering? btw why stiffer up front, cause of FWD?? so lets say with a 2 inch drop, i wont need any camber kits and stuff? so this already has struts/shocks in them unlike the sleeves, right? any idea if i would need to do something before slapping these on? are they a direct fit? thanks =)
