    STi vs Evo

So I believe from vvti.net we always had a long discussion on what is better? Subaru Impreza STi or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Well the majority said they like the looks of the Evo better and they still prefer the evo more over the impreza's in general. Well I just read this article this morning.

    http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/06/you-know-youve-pushed-your-car-too-hard-when/

It kinda goes to show how cheaply made Mitsubishi's are. Not to say that Subaru has cut a few costs here and there but the fact that they are cutting prices on one of their best selling cars is not all that great.

Read the article and tell me what you think.

nah, I'll probably just look and the pictures and close the browser.

hmm.. pedal broke off. Look like its made of plastic, clearly a consequence of drive by wire. I'd still take the IX myself.

I won't buy Mitsu, sorry. After knowing the unreliability of the 4G63, I don't have much hope for any of their new motors or craftsmanship.

I'm pretty biased on because I love the look of the 04-05 STi's, but I wouldn't give up a chance to own an EVO IX if given one

I don't like the looks of either personally. Especially the new STi. But it looks like the STi outpowers the EVO in just about every way.

Metric specs. I'm too sick to find the standard version.

Your specs claim SAE HP not metric, also as I remember from physics a 745.7 multiplier is used to convert SI units in kW to SAE HP and a 735.49 for metric HP. The difference wouldn't be that great.

Also your specs claim these cars take 87octane, the STI and EVO takes 91+, neither claim turbo, compression ratios are too high, MPG are too high, engine code is wrong

I drive a 350hp Stage 2 STI and it smokes Lancer Evo MR's like they are standing still. Also I have driven a lancer before and it does not feel anything like the STI, I love how much of a brute the STI is. The EVO is more like a ford focus or something with a lot of power. The STI feels like a rally car.
