Need a deep well socket. As far as I know, you pull the individual coil packs off the top, reach in there with a deep well 14 or 15 (trying to remember off-hand), loosen it up. Once it's loose reach in there with either a long grip or a magnet and pull it right out. Takes about 5 minutes a plug to replace mine on the Tundra.

Remember that plugs should be only hand tight. Don't overtighten or undertighten.

Yeah, tightening spark plugs is tricky. There's a ring on the plugs that will make a popping noise as you tighten it. It comes with practice, but you don't want to tighten it past that point, or you'll snap the body of the spark plug off in the threads.

    :D

There should be the exact torque ratings printed on the box. Just follow that if you don't know what to do. It's about 18-19 ft/lbs I believe.

You don't need to, but I did anyways. I played around with the gapping to get maximum throttle response. I have to tune everything just right for my liking. :D

Might want to give the Split Fire Plugs a try. I used to run them in my 95' Tacoma; I not only noticed a slight increase in HP but got excellent service from them. 50,000mi on each of two sets. And my Tacoma had to go through state emissions and never failed once.
That's what I will be using in my new Rolla after I get the first 1,000 miles under the tires.

Just a quick tip for putting them back in...Use a piece of vacuum line attached to the plug and hand start them. :rule:
