Of course, criminals are referred to as, "Dumb Criminals" for a reason.

Let this be a lesson, if you murder someone across the border, don't take pictures of the body with you standing next it, knife in hand.

But this is taking it a little extreme. And how cost effective is this going to be, paying border patrol to search camera's and laptops for every person crossing the border. Border traffic is going to come to an even more grinding halt than it already has. (Real traffic, people attempting to cross legally. Fences will still be hopped.)

They wont be sitting there searching every single electronic device.

Im on the fence about this one....I dont mind giving up some of my rights to get criminals off the street. Im for the Patriot Act.

I'm not too sure I like that - a little scary how the federal government is getting around the 4th Amendment..

Stuff like this has been starting to occur since long before President Bush. People use him as a scapegoat, when the country has been invading privacy more and more in the last 15 years than ever before.

This is true for me too. I don't mind SOME inconveniences (sp?) as long as my loved ones and I are kept safe. Also, if one has nothing to hide, it should not be too big a deal, aside from the hassle.

I need to remember to delete my pr0ns before I travel tho.... *mental note to self*

How long though until it goes from a random 5-10 searchs a day until it's every car that comes thru the border? When they discover drug flow is still pretty much unaffected, the government will assume it isn't doing enough. Then every item, full search.

    What from there?

Actually it's been much longer than that. Let's take a look back and the forming of the CIA. :)

Yeah, i mean when I smuggle dope across the border I sure love to keep transactions on my laptop and keep pictures on my phone just in case I lose my shit, I've at least got proof I was once a successful drug runner. :)

Seriously though... This is pretty dumb. Take it from someone who has gone down into Mexico quite a few times. (when I say down in i don't mean border towns) Whenever you drive in past a certain point, going in you aren't checked but coming out they rummage your stuff. They're cool about it but the US side is WAY less invasive than the Mexican side. That and the US side isn't packing machine guns either, lol.

actually i love the mexican border officials. they do a better job at everything than our fat lazy customs agents. trust me, the border is like 5min from me, i go over all the time. and right now theres alot of killings and random fire fights in the streets over there, so they are really alert!!. yeah they do pack alot of heat and humvees!!

as for the border wall.... it threatens historic downtown. my take on that.... we have a river, why not fill it with sharks, piranas, lions, bears, tigers with lasers on there head...
