    so as many of you know I work for Jeep... and today in the shop we have a wrangler, weird... but what makes this one special is it has this...

    oh yeah... thats a 1 foot d-ring welded to the rear bumper.. possibly for towing an oil rig

    Did you try to poke your head thru it? Maybe he's planning on going up on a trail somewhere, backing up to a cliff and hanging himself for welding such a massive D-ring on.

    no but I climbed up on his roof using only the ring.. oh and I for got to mention the foot wide fogs on the front..

    i agree... maybe he was using it to straighten his frame with a tree, or maybe a small country?

    That's exactly what it is. Those things are great on the back of our lifts for dragging stuff around.

    That's excessive though. Even if he did just want to try and straighten out his frame, no reason to leave it on. I have a hitch-mounted D-Ring which is MORE than I would ever need for any form of extraction.
