    Spring Break!

    Its Spring Break for me!

I'm driving down to see Dr Tweak down in Savannah, GA. I'm coming from New York city and its about 830 miles away. I'm getting some work done and after Savannah, I will be hitting up VA Beach.

What about you guys? Any roadtrip plans?

Spring break went by quick. I was with the SO all week. It boiled down to 65% of the week do nothing/with SO, 5% accomplished something for school, 30% work. At least I got some school work done.

What kind of work done? Don't forget some pics with the mad doc pose.

axle snapped on my rolla that night and spent an hr waiting for a tow truck. Spent my monday replacing the axle but i was getting a grinding/clicking noise from that side. Spent tuesday taking apart the brakes and replacing the clips (one of the clips got bent somehow and were scraping the rotor/ clicking as it hit the slots).. And now I still have a grinding noise coming from that side, I'm thinking the wheel bearing got fucked up also. So now I need to take apart the hub, bring it to a shop and get the old bearing pressed out/new one press in. ~$200 and 3 wasted days later my spring break really sucks.

soo hows thing going with you guys?

Went to Vegas with my girlfriend this Spring Break left last Friday and came back on Monday night. Spent all the three day drinking, partying, buffeting and gambling. Now I have to continue working on retrofitting mini H3 projector on to my fogs.

its 855am and i just woke up from my hotel here in savannah,ga... i drove for 14 hours and i got here early in the morning at around 3am from nyc.

im about to pick up my rental car from enterprise ... trying to get that new nissan maxima. afterwards, dropping the car off at dr tweak's shop .. southern car customs.

i just wanted to note that during one of my gas fill ups....i experienced something really weird.
immediately after i finished filling the tank up, i started the car. it was having trouble starting. it failed the first time and the second time it was struggling to start but it BARELY did and it was at very low rpm and it was like fluctuating a lil. i saw my gauge backlight was dimming and gettin brighter. i revved up the engine and it helped it some and then when i moved the steering wheel, it revved itself up and then it was good and smooth from there.

i have NEVER experienced that with this car (or any car for that matter). what do you guys think happened?

Yah the battery probably just got juiced down somehow and once the alternator recharged it, it was fine. If it keeps happening then your battery may be on the way out but if it doesnt happen again then you should be ok.

well i mean, that happened after i have been driving for over 600 miles straight. its just weird the battery would die unless of course the alternator is bad but i doubt that because one time i was in a car that had an alternator die and the car shut off ..

i was passing through the carolinas i believe SC and after leaving starbucks to get back onto the highway, some ricer on a honda prelude.....no less, with a giant wing spoiler, followed me and drove alongside me and revved. i didnt even look at the guy.

then he fell behind and then within 10 seconds sped up past me thinking he's so fast...he was really actually slow at doing so lol.
maybe if i wasnt an auto tranny and bone stock motor..maybe i would have tried.

lol ... next summer i shall convert to manual tranny.

Here are a couple pics of some of the work I did on Vibe's Corolla today and yesterday. I'm sure he'll post some more up :)

Modifying the Corolla throttle linkage to fit the Celica throttle body...

    Removing the old intake manifold

Custom building some brackets for the throttle cables

Finished installation pics, showing the Celica intake manifold, custom cold air intake, and a few of the modifications needed to make it all come together...

Closeup of the bracket holding the intake securely in place (no rattles here!)

I just got here in my VA beach hotel from Tweak's shop.

    It definitely made a difference!
Though I got a code P0171 that's system too lean right?
Do you have any quick fixes with messing with the emanage face interface to compensate for that?

You can try taking a mini-screwdriver and turning all of the dials on the front of the unit clockwise one notch. And reset the ecu after you do this.
