It took me awhile to learn about buying jewerly....I watched tons of Home shopping clubs and stuff like that .... Well of course the girl have to consider the guy's income and whatever bills/expenses they have to think if that guy can afford a ring that she desires.

And I'm not saying to dump the guy if he can't buy u the "perfect" ring, but to compromise and save up together to eventually buy that certain ring in the near future. As long as both agrees then the guy is basically set.

income should not be considered when buying jewelry and that whole 2 month salary bullshit is made up for marketing. a ring is to show love, not how much money was spent. If she is not happy with a cheap ring or is always wanting a "better" ring she is not in it for the relationship.

Well, the ring I got is real silver. A little polishing once in a while will keep it looking new.

Exactly my point real jewelry doesn't need polishing and I'm not just talking about rings.

And u made another point, u got silver, not white or yellow gold. Ne thing 14K or lower, u NEED to clean it up.

Where's a good place to get a ring engraved? I've been quoted 20 bucks for 10 letters. That's the cheapest I can get. Is that a good deal?

Usually wherever u get the ring from its free...but 20 bucks isn't bad....can u fit 10 letters on a size 4 or 5 ring? I wear a 5 and the letters must be tiny.
