just get regular old spark plugs, ans I believe that you run coil packs 1 pack for every 2 plugs, I would say get OEM wires, and what plugs toyota says to get, none of these multi end plugs, they do nothing unless the car is desinged to use them, you have a stock corolla, it will run better if you keep it as close to that as possable...

No, he doesn't have coil packs. Only the 01-02 have them. The 00 might have them depending how late in the year it was manufactured. Spark plugs are old technology now. You really should check out pulse plugs. They really do make a difference you can feel.

First of all you need to see what type of plug you have cause my plugs have a double spark on the end and if you put one with a single spark your car will run like shit it wont work ....... as far as plugs go I bought a 9mm set from ebay for 40 dollars..... and I use Denso.... I put a set of NGK and they didnt make a difference..... Go to your manual and get what your car calls for unless you have Turbo set up or a charger.....

is this for vvt-i or non vvt-i?

I have a non vvti and it works best with a copper "single" spark
NGK copper V-power to be precise, the one for the 1990 corolla GTS (yes I know 1 notch colder, but I live in 98f conditions year around :D)

had Bosch 4+ before, ran like shit

It's hard to make out. There is no rotor so I guess there are coil packs. However, on the 98-00, the wires are changeable.

That's right. The stock motor came with dual contact spark plugs. There's also a Japanese sticker on the side of the head telling you to use dual contact plugs and not single contact. However, I'm running a single contact pulse plug with no problems and NGK iridiums before that.
