    First Drift wreck!

well i was learning alot about my car and how to control it...doing really good most of the day! round 3 o'clock i was gettin ready to slide around the last corner of the course and when i hit the brakes to transfer the cars weight i must have hit a patch if dirt or tire shreds+ worn tires up front caused me to slide into the wall driverside nose first! as from what i can see major damage(steering, frame, suspension, etc.) here are the pix as she sits in the garage(aka operating room)

If you are still new to drifting, why not practice on a course that does not have walls to crash into, until you can build up enough skill to take on those "wall having" courses?

I'm a drifter too, but it will cost me a ton more money to fix my ride if and should I crash it. But I plan on participating in the grass-roots type drift events long enough to be pretty good and not worry to much about crashing into K-rails or walls when I go pro.

I know we are going to get our fair share of bumps and bruises. Just saying, our events are big parking lots that are cone ridden, so us newbs can practice without worrying about smashing up our rides.

PS....can't beat $35 bucks and only 10 drivers though. No lie, I would have been there too..:) Our events are like the opposite. 25-50 drivers and $75-100 bucks to run all day.
