This is the worst frontal crash test.... scratch that: WORST CRASH TEST (PERIOD) I've ever seen. This inspires absolutely NO confidence in Chinese engineering.

Oh, I've seen this already months ago. It's old news for me. Apparently Ford has some cars that failed just as badly if not worse as well. I wouldn't buy anything outside of Japanese automobiles anyways.

It's usually in the 45 mph range.

Does Toyota have any dismal crash rating cars?

The Yaris w/o side impact airbags received a very poor rating. But if it has the side impact airbags, it's worlds better.

And to think, Chrysler was flirting with using Chinese built automobiles for it's subcompact response to the Yaris, Aveo, Versa and Fit. Sometimes I think the crappy crash performance the Chinese cars have is actually a subtle form of population control.

BTW, on the Yaris and side airbags: Now that side air bags are so common, the IIHS gives almost any car without them a low rating. I've noticed that trend anyway.

Well I'd never buy Chrysler anyways. I mean how much does it take to design and build a subcompact car? It sure isn't as much as building a full size.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I drove a rented PT Cruiser which had no power and no gas mileage even though it boasted over 30 mpg. I barely got 20 on the highway. Sad sad sad.
