    Drunk Driving FTL!!!

Here is my 7 month old Sentra after a drunk driver plowed into her at 60 mph with me in it. I was sitting in a dedicated turn lane waiting for the light to turn when she plowed into me. Car is totaled and with insurance check I went the darkside and got a 07 Civic LX.

I walked away with whiplash and some back strain.

This happened at the end of May, been too busy to post. Pain wise the first 4 days afterwards where pretty bad, all I have right is a some pain in the back

Insurance covered the cost of the car which came out to 17,000 so that limited my choices and I decided on a 07 Civic LX 5 speed.

Lady had a BAC of .15 and she hit me a 60 mph

OMG! Good to see you're okay. What's going to happen to her? If you sustain permanent harm, you can sue.

Sue that bitch ... seriously. Not because she hit you but because she was drunk. And she's a fucking stupid broad.

There's always PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder) to pursue. Say you'll never be the same again and that you don't feel safe on the road anymore. LOL

She could have killed you all because she decided to drink and then get in the car. I think you deserve more money as compensation. Even money isn't enough to compensate for your life.

Good. Sue her for all she's got and then sue her for everything else. Hopefully that will teach drunk drivers the consequences of being reckless.

Thankfully you walked away. Seems like a lot of folks hit by drunk drivers are either critically injured or killed.

Considering she was drunk you can pretty much throw any offer out there and insurance is stuck settling or being sued. At least, that was my experience with PI at an atty.'s office. It really puts her insurance company between a rock and a hard place considering there is no way an adjuster can make this out to be anything but 100% fault on her behalf.

Man..go to the hospital -- if there's any long-term medical consequences, you want a paper trail.
