    I got a 7800GT going soon from my system in 2 months.... asking $230 it's got shiny colors and a zalman VF-900 heatsink slapped into it

    what games do you guys play?

    I play all the way up to hl2 games perfectly

    I haven't actually played oblivion but I suppose my card will play it pretty well, just not perfectly in the high res part

    Got to be careful there - some games need some pretty serious videocards to get the performance and eye candy. But most prebuilt machines do not have a beefy enough power supply to support a premium graphics card. I'm not sure about your PC, but most every store bought machines I've seen don't have enough power to support a high end video card. Some can be upgraded, some cannot.

    I'm running an X800XL in my Dell Dimension 4700...they can be found for ~$60 used. Runs HL2 in 1680x1050x32.

    7900GTs are going for ~$140 used..no way would I spend over $200 for a 7800!
