the H2's arent that bad, the axel seals tend to give out at around 25-30k miles, the h3s are just POS, i dont think there are any perfect H3's out there, lol

ive only worked on one H1 since ive been there, the Hummer Techs at my place usually get to do them because they are specially trained on them and shit, considering the H1s have nothing really to do with GM its kinda good i guess, lol

well try having one in the shop at just 71 miles! all the units we have suck the engines used are the 6.2 and 6.5 the new 6.6 Turbo Diesel engines should be better. The units we get from Iraq and such actually have less problems due to better cooling systems and such. and yeah they are not bad trucks its just a lot of minor things that give out and makes them have a lot of problems.

Hummers are just way too big for city streets. Its getting so crowded that driving overweight urban assault vehicles is going to make it hell for other people. I can't even imagine trying to find parking driving one of those.

the h3's arent really that bad at all to drive and thier decent on gas because they only have a 3.7 liter 5cylindar, and parking them isnt hard at all, the h2's arent really bad either

Maybe not so bad from the driver's point of view. LOL It sucks for me. I can't see crap if one is in front of me or if I'm trying to park next to one which takes up 2 spaces.

they still suck period, the civillian version is not that different than the military version. main differences are the interior and exterior trim body, frame, and even engine and tranny choices are the same. they are good for off-roading but they are limited to thier towing capabilities since the engines are moderately underpowered and TQ isn't as high as it should be.

I agree. IMO they shouldn't sell Hummers to the public at all. Its pointless. There is no reason to be driving that on the road. Its just a status symbol.

What do you do for a living thread....

I don't even know if this is a good idea or what, but since we have a lot of new people on the board, I think now is a good timing. I also wanted to make this because we have alot of people on here that work on their own cars; I'd like to know if what they do tie with them having the knowledge to do all that.

    So I start first:

I work part-time at some deli named "Cafe on the Run" at H-E-B.

I will hopefully finish my AAS in Network Administration at the end of the fall semester. (if I pass this $@#% Cisco class)

After that I hope to start working in the comp-sci field. I'm more of the hardware person. Probably start on tech support then work my way up.

I also have plans on getting a BAAS in Information Systems or whatnot down the road. Probably take a class or two every semester...

    P.S.
If you can put your job title and summarize what you actually do for people like me who might not know what you actually do.

4th year @ Louisiana State University, going for my BS in Communication Disorders, concentrated in Speech-Language Pathology. Got one more year, then 2 years of grad school to get my MA.
Working part-time as a Customer Service Specialist (tech support call center guy) for EATEL in Gonzales, Louisiana.

But my full-time gig is being a husband and father of a baby girl (coming in late August). :)
