    vvti.net and corolla-racing.com

I'm pretty active on this forum, vvti.net, and corolla-racing.com, and I must say, this is one of the most mature forums I've ever been a part of. I see plenty of immature stupidity on the other two. Examples (rollatuner110 knows what I'm talking about with vvti:(
    1. On vvti.net, there's a few people on there who are obsessed with pulley kits. No matter what you say, this guy replies (with horrendous grammer, I might add) that his car is SO quick ([sarcasm] he even beat a SpecV and a turbocharged WRX[/sarcasm]). :bs
It's just stupidity. He tried to tell rollatuner and me to shut up because we dont' know what we're talking about. We just both told him (time and time again) that his car isn't a sports car. Plus, there's incessant spam (thanks to the wonderful and [sarcasm]ever-present[/sarcasm] admin) and a host of street racing threads/posts (has nobody read the sticky that says "NO STREET RACING DISCUSSION"? :eek:ops
    2. Corolla-racing.com. I love that site, as there are a number of very smart guys on there (Very_High_Rolla, toyotaspeed90, and dr_ky, just to name a few) who really know their stuff. There's also an endless amount of people who think painted (and I mean rattle-can paint) interiors, neons, 2 12" subwoofers, eBay strut bar/SRI/fart cannon, and 17" wheels make their car the ****. :ugh2:
Also, lots of "how can I make my 4A-FE/7A-FE fast" threads. Does anyone use the handy-dandy search button? How about thinking (lol, thinking) about the fact that the corolla has an ECONOMY engine?

Sorry about that, I just had to get some thoughts out.

Please resume your regularly scheduled programming.

:werd Wow that summed up my own ranting quite nicely.

About :vvti: :There are quite a few morons on vvti.net who claim to be educated and yet type as if they were text messaging a friend. It's really quite annoying to have to read the post 3 times just to understand half of it. Oh and have you noticed that almost the whole lot of those offenders are from Hawaii? I don't want to stereotype but you know that stereotypes are based on truth. They also portray Hawaiian tuners(in this case, ricers) as illegal street racers who still haven't gotten out of the Fast and the Furious phase yet. Grow up peoples. And yes, its still a corolla. As quoted from cgreen38 in a post in vvti.net, "We all love our Corollas, but you have to remember this: you can't turn horseshit into ice cream." Read that and memorize it f*cking ricer morons! If you could outrun WRXs and 5.Os then why the hell would you need pulleys to give you more power when apparently you have enough to beat anything already?! Some people need to step out of their bodies, look back at themselves and say to themselves, "OMG is that really me? I need to relearn everything I've been taught because I'm an ignorant, stubborn moron!"

OH do I have something to say about rice. Not to be racist but when people do that it looks Mexican! Here's the incomplete list of ricy and cheap modifications: used and abused, unpainted, poorly fitting body kit or body panels, Z3 fenders, light up windshield washer nozzles, plastic spinner hubcaps and/or big ridiculously sized chrome 'bling bling' wheels, wheels from another car(such as Honda or Nissan wheels on a Toyota), buzzy, farting can mufflers, open exhaust, big obnoxious vinyl or stickers plastered down the sides of the car promoting some mediocre brand such as APC, bubbly self tint, cut springs, self-painted exterior, painted interior, imitation racing seats and covers, yellow headlights, cheap fog lights that don't match, and most importantly, a car that has modifications even though it shows signs of a previous accident(If you have money to upgrade parts, why can't you spend that money to fix it?!). If you really want a nice looking car, read this thread: http://trdforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17430

OK, I guess I did end up ranting. Sorry about that. Don't mind me. Carry on. :p

btw toyotaspeed90 really is a bible of knowledge. He's been there forever since the beginning of time. hehe

I took over Corolla Racing as well. If we got the tech savy guys from that board over to this board, it would be better off for everyone.

why let it bother you guys so much? if you despise that board, but like this one... i only seen one logical plan of action... leave that board and only post here.

or do you like to get up in arms over what other people spend their own time and money on?

then do it... without making yourselves look goofy. complaining about a board that you have the CHOICE to not go to, but still do, is just rediculous.

thats kind of like people who CHOOSE not to work but complain that the free welfare they get isnt enough.

I think you missed my points. I'm saying that there are knowledgeable people on those boards, but they are full of ricers and buffoons. I'm not complaining about the boards, just astonished at the idiocy of some of the members.

considering the fact that much of the world's population consists of idiots/buffoons/etc, it shouldn't be that surprising.

lol, you had me fooled. nothing wrong with your posts at all. the point im getting at is if you are so, seemingly, dissatisfied with said message boards... then you can make a choice to no longer visit them. and i bet you that your ranting (complaining) will cease if you make the choice to no longer visit those boards.

    that is all

Well keep in mind, we're not complaining. We're ranting. :D Its just to release our stress and the way we feel. Think of them as rhetorical statements. Its not healthy to keep everything bottled up so we're just finding an outlet. There's no need to make sense of all the complaining. Its just literature to be strictly read only.

However if some amateur attacks me and/or other members for making benign comments of common sense, then I won't take it laying down. I won't let idiots undermine the integrity and honesty of proper contributing members.

On the honda-tech forums, if you ask a question, other members will search it before answering, post the searched link, and close your thread. That forum is so big anyway that there probably isn't a question that hasn't been asked before...but thats how it should be...

Exactly. Just letting out my thoughts on the stupidity of people on the boards. There are some pretty knowledgeable people on each of them that aren't on other boards. That's why I keep going back. Plus, it's good for a laugh every now and then. :p

I'm done ranting, too. This, along with a local forum, are my two favorites. Plenty of good people who pretty much know what they're doing and dont' mind sharing their knowledge. You guys r0xx0rZ my s0xx0rZ. :D

Same here. It so dead over there and I hate how some people post like they are texting on a cell. I have to read it twice just to understand what they are talking about
