Stiffer rear suspension for weight in trunk?

Currently I have the stock rear suspension and lowered front on my 2001 Corolla with 17" rims. The problem is that with the weight of my sound system in the trunk it rubs in the rear going around corners and bumps. Are there some better struts or something that I could get to stop it rubbing? I have a 60lb subwoofer back there along with a box that probably weighs another 60lbs along with 2 amps and a battery. It weighs it down a lot and when I fill up with gas I can barely stick a finger between the wheel and the fender.

You're springs are sagging. You need springs. Not struts.

damn, i'm lowered all around and just this past weekend, i had my drunk self, some girl sitting on me, a girl in the middle and a guy, i'd say weighing around 190lbs all in the back seat. the desig driver, and another girl in the front passenger..no rubbing.. i'd say that's more than your sound system lol i guess you need springs

Yeah the rims are 17x7 with 205/40/17 tires. Do you know where to get springs at?

i was just about to ask the same question. i did get 2 fosgate p3's (25.60lbs each) the box is ported and weighs about the same. i was hoping to see the rear "lowered" but unfortunately didnt see a big difference. I guess my 19yr old springs still do their job eh?

I guarantee the only reason you're rubbing is because your springs are sagging and/or struts are blown to hell. You should roll your rear fenders as well.

So you think lowered springs would increase the height of the suspension?

i think what he means is
lower stiffer springs > your stock springs

height wont matter if it does not do its job.

lower springs = stiffer springs or just buy oem springs from a dealership
