    Lsd

I am looking to install a Quaife Helical Limited Slip Differential - Toyota 1.8L VVTi. I have a 01 Corolla LE and as we speak Dr. Tweak is installing a Turbo Kit. We have made some other mods such as, 5 speed manual transmission swap, custom exhaust system, rear disk conversion, CAI, hyper ground kit. I'm looking for someone who has experience with corolla and installing LSD. I'm located in South Jersey and willing to travel within reason.

if the good doc is doing a 5spd swap, do your differential THEN AND THERE!

With the tranny off the car it's a pretty easy upgrade, takes about an hour. :)

to replace the diff you have to pull the transmission out completely... unbolt the forward housing and remove it... (watch the bracket for the reverse gear slider attached to the forward housing... its a pain to get loose but the only way to pull the trans apart.) once removed the diff just comes right out... you unbolt the diff from the main drive gear and bolt your new one to it.. once complete, put it all back together, throw tranny back in car... bam you're ready to rock...

Will a LSD damage the tranny during normal driving conditions?

I dont' see any reason why it would. I know a few Honda guys who daily drive with LSD's in their cars.

the corolla will get torque steer at high RPM's funny thing is that since my car produces very little low and mid-band power so i can never get my car to burn out. Only when after 5K rpm's does it start to be noticable, but it is more controlable with the LSD. the Quaife` LSD is the only upgrade i have to my vehicle as far as the tranny goes.
