The scoop was about 80 or 90 bucks, cant remember... then materials to blend it in ran about 75 or so... then there is the labor aspect... get a scoop, bring me your car and i'll install it for 350 bucks (includes the materials) ... should take a full day.

    indeed... november to may buddy!

looks sick as shit... works really well. you can reach into the engine bay and touch the compressor housing, valve cover, strut bar, IC charge pipe, etc... after driving it like ya stole it. it's all warm instead of surface of the sun blazing hot.

i could but it might not do too much good. blending fiberglass is kinda an artform... if you've never done it or don't understand exactly how to "feel" for the imperfections and get them out... it's something that takes a lot of practice... if you want to know the materials they were fiberglass matte, fiberglass resin, duraglass and lightweight body filler... you grind down the outside of the scoop and make it pretty thin, grind the hood, throw down matte and resin mixture, stick scoop on, use screws to hold it in place... let set... remove screws... sand down until somewhat blended, matte/resin obvious bad bad spots that need filling... resand and somewhat smoothe. use duraglass and build a smoothe transition from hood to scoop... sand until mostly smooth, repeat... once all that's done.. do the same type of thing with lightweight body filler... except with the filler, you want to make sure its all smoothed out. once that's all done... primer the hell out of it.. smooth it, look for imperfections, feel for imperfections and address them appropriately... build with duraglass, smooth with lightweight filler. Once its all set... reprime and you're set. sounds easy... but like i said... takes practice.
