    Rotor suggestions

sorry for all the thread starting... lol.

any suggestions? i'm using the oem replacement brembos with hawk hps street pads

i've been getting a constant squeal for about two weeks now so i figured its time to replace.

i was thinking of this combo:
    • hawk hps race pads
    • cryo slotted rotors
both are on tirerack. the rotors are bit expensive compared to brembo so i wanted to know if its worth the price difference.

I've heard both good and bad about slotted rotors. Some say they eat pads up pretty quick, and some say they're the best they've ever used.
I have Hawk HPS and Brembo rotors on my car (98) and I've had NO problems at all in the 2.5 months they've been on there.

I got Power Slot Cryo w/ Wagner High Performance Brake Pads never squeals and minor brake dust, only complaint is that they are a bit too touchy.

Nope. Just the plain-surfaced vented rotors.

I have yet to have any brake fade and for the cost it was well worth it since they have yet to crystalize and the rotors have not glazed, scored or have any heat spots. I do have the thermoquiet but at the time it was the best pads they had to offer. its been a while about a year and a half that i changed them so i'm sure the price has gone down since then.

EBC offers great sets but they have premature wear from what i have heard, but its your call.

true cross drilled may cool down substantially but it also severly decreases the strength of the rotor in general dimpled maybe, slotted is my personal choice but temper treated only other than that it would be stock for me.
