    British troops captured..

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/03/28/iran.uk.sailors/index.html

I first read up on this and didn't think anything of it. But the more I read up on it, the more interesting it got. Not only are they prohibiting anyone from doing business with them, they now have to prove that the troops were not in Iranian waters.

The latest update shows the troops on video and reading a letter apologizing for entering Iranian waters. I wonder if they were being forced to read that.

I find it weird that first the UN places sanctions on Iran and then this happens. Who knows if they're doing this on purpose.

Iran provided info that they did cross into their waters but the britsh have provided info that they didn't. its like a tug of war game.

so who here thinks this could have been in retaliation to the sanctions ordeal or any thoughts at all...

I am not sure how many of you know about Rules of Engagment ROE. But, no other country has to follow them. I am sure you remember about how one of our planes had a mess of Al Queda leaders in his sights to drop the bomb, literally. And he had them man...had them...and he was told no...because they were at a funeral. :|

Anyway I say this because of the fact that no other country has to follow them ... so I feel terrible that this poor British girl is in their hands and who knows what they're doing to her. I hope and pray they aren't raping and beating her. I think these people need a reality check and if that means turning their country into a litter box...then so be it. But then again, we couldn't do that because we're pussies...pardon my language.

Here is something interesting that a lot of people didn't hear about or pay attention to:

    http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2007/3/20/154804.shtml

Basically Tehran says they will kidnap US troops. This was said on 3/20/07 before the capture of the British soldiers....coincidence?

They claimed that response would be for us, or who ever did it (no one really took credit to my knowledge), kidnapping three Iranian officials.

Here is a weird perspective I was thinking about. The UN is sanctioning Iran and the US has been on edge about Iran's nuclear program as well as how Iran's government has been found to be supplying insurgents as well as weapons for the insurgency in Iraq. I wonder if perhaps Iran feels threatend that an invasion, or some form of combat interaction, is on the horizon and this is their PR version of prevention. They claim the troops were trespassing in Iran...we call BS about this, but that story is inevitably on Al-Jazeera or other pro-muslim news organizations....if there was any action taken by Britain or the US we would be seen as the wrongful invaders. Also, the televised speech by the female soldier had parts where she said Iran was compassionate, friendly, throughtful, etc...We call BS on this again because it was more than likely a forced speech, but as w/ the aforementioned pt, when this gets on Al-jazeera and action is taken...again, the coalition would be the assholes. Basically, in summary, it seems like they are just covering their asses and trying to prevent anyone from taking action in the near future against them....but thats just my opinion.

They updated today saying that a second letter was read by the female hostage asking why the british didn't pull out of Iraq. Why would she say that for? Another letter I feel they made her read.

Of course they made her read that. Just like they made that Nick Berg guy read his thing before they beheaded him. Terrible people I tell you...as if you don't already know.

Looks like I was right. They were given the option of confessing to something they didn't do or face 7 years in jail in Iran. At least they were smart enough to play it off until they got back home. Now the truth is coming out.

Something good did come out of this and that was the release of the sailors and marines. They're finally home with their families.

Yeah, they announced their release Wednesday morning. Right after the Iranian president gave their equivilant of medal of honors to the soldiers that captured them.

The British were way inside Iranian territory.......any other country would have done the same thing.

They seperated the woman from the men......for 6 days she thought the other men were released. Psychological games going on.

You said they were inside their waters...did that really happen? Cause now they're stating they (the troops that were captured) were well outside their territory.

So because I automatically assumed that because Iran was in between Afghanistan and IRaq that they were arabic, they're not, they're persian. I had no idea. I am pretty sure we don't want to go to war with these guys. They have way to many resources to fuck with us with and well frankly I don't want anything to do with it. They have a HUGE navy because their coast line is HUGE with the Persian Gulf...it's crazy yo

Yeah, they arent Arabic. They speak farci as well.

And if they continue to strenghten their nuclear armament, we will be doing something about it.

We have too many allies in that region....Iran wont risk too much. Their economy can be crippled pretty easily.

And britain claims they were 1.7nautical miles outside iranian waters......too close for comfort, and too close for mistakes. Iran has no reason to lie. Britain has every reason to lie about it.
