    Testing some settings

I guess its only the proper thing to do to start off the new section by posting first. So here are the pictures I took the other day that gave me the idea for this new forum section to begin with...since I just got this camera like a week ago, i'm still trying to figure it out and learn its settings...

Testing a 4 second exposure (need to redo with a cleaner windshield)

Testing macro focus (without color enhancement) (looking through the screen door into the backyard)

    Testing black and white mode
    [IMG]

Another macro focus picture (my desktop of my mouse, camera docking cradle, and speaker)

Not really testing anything here. I just thought it would make for a good picture but it didn't turn out as good as I wanted it to....shoulda played with the settings, lol...

For a while I thought you had a digital slr or something. Really great photos. I like the light effect of the first one.

I'll get a DSLR sometime in the future when I think I can commit to putting down that much cash for a camera. Plus, I feel weird lugging around a big camera...

^^I recommend you get a flickr.com account and browse through pictures in that website before you buy this camera tho. When you browse through pictures and click them, check the picture EXIF data at the lower right hand corner of the window. This list of data tells you what kind of camera they used to take that picture and what settings they used too. Also, they have a chart that shows all the different types of camera's people are using, including the most popular along with pictures from each type of camera. My camera isn't all that popular on that site because it doesnt have enough manual settings. You actually have to trick my camera to get the settings you want. Also, the image quality is only great in ISO 50 and 100 with 200 being okay if its a tripod picture. ISO 400 is way too grainy and other camera's can do better. The reason I got this camera is because I love how small it is, the fact that it takes 7.2 MP pictures, it has a big screen, comes included with a rechargeable battery, and has different preset picture modes (which is what you have to play with to get your picture to turn out the way you want it to). Here's the link to the camera rating...

interesting site. I'll check it out when I'm not at work cause there were ALOT of NWS pics in there..lol. And I found the camera that I currently have. I'm gonna have to play with the settings more.

    Thanks for the site recommendation!
