eh, im torn on the subject... certain things like the balls are just a scream for attention and are kind of dumb. but the last sentence in the quote you posted really makes me lean towards opposition. "Myers told The Washington Post, "We have movie ratings and V-chips, and I don't see why this doesn't fall into the same category." THAT IS CENSORSHIP and the government and certain private individuals trying to tell the majority what to do and think.

Yea, there are movie ratings and V-chips but those seem more along the lines of recommendations cuz a 12 year old can go with a parent to see a rated R movie. The same parents may not even care about the V-chip enough to set it on their TV cuz just about everyone I know doesnt use them. As for the car thing, I don't think they should regulate such a topic. I remember watching Viva La Bam when they took a winnebago, spray painted all kind's of obseneties on it, and threw mud on it. When they were pulled over for its vulgar appearance, there was nothing the cop could do about it and they were let go. To me, doing something like this is a form of personalizing your own property....as well as a form of whats called freedom of speech and expression. Artists can create naked statues and put them in a public square. Bam, on an episode of Jackass, painted a naked lady on the hood of his father's car. If an artist wanted to do the same to his/her car, what would be the difference...people that put bull testicles on their Ford pickups maybe a couple of hillbillies for doing so but why not....if they want to ban them...then they can ban the ricer population too while their at it cuz I do not want to see ricers running around, haha...

It's also the land of whiny ass parents who think the rest of the world should also help in the sheltering of their child. That nothing unpleasant should ever be seen by the kids. That they shouldn't have to explain what that is or why someone has it. (they are also usually the parents who carry on indifferently in large stores as their children run buck wild throughout the aisles)

My thing is, you live in a "free" country. The same laws that allow you to voice a reason why you don't like fake rubber nuts allows the guy who has them to display them. If you want to shelter your offspring from every unpleasantry and influence, good or bad, the world has to offer...leave them AT HOME! Don't expect us to help you do your job as a parent by censoring our rights and freedoms for the sake of your spawn....unless of course, you want to pay me to do so...in which case, I'm open for negotiations. lol :D

lol, werd. Probably about the same time parents everywhere started referring to them as Pee-Pees and Hoo-hoos.

I say we band together against those gel plastic, foot shaped air fresheners! Yeah! They're images of body parts too. I've seen some folks feet that could be described as vulgar...hairy toes and whatnot. Bleh! :p

it definately shouldnt be outlawed or censored... i like knowing who the douchebag attention whores are without even an exchange of words. i dont see anything wrong with a "vulgar" display, but it just makes those people willing to "push the boundaries of good taste" look kind of dumb.

there is a difference between freedom of speech and somebody misinterpreting it in their own twisted ways... the balls are just a goofy expression of non conformity.

Personally, when I first saw the "balls" thing, I laughed. I thought it was funny, because the color I saw was blue ... blue balls...and yeah he hung them on his flippin truck. Anyway, I guess it's alright...if little kids ask questions about what is hanging off of someone's truck then the parents should be responsible and tell the littele buggers. Chances are they're going to see them soon enough in real life. So what's the difference? As far as putting other vulgar things on your vehicle ... there isn't a day that goes by that I want to write, what I think, should be the new traffic laws in Vegas, wait they're already the laws but no one follows them. And of course use obscentites...it seems nowdays that is how people listen to you. You can't talk nice to anyone anymore to get your point across...except my husband lol. And of course a select few. Anyway I am just rambling. The little stickers I have been seeing of the Silhouettes of the angel/devil chic ... they're kinda stupid but if that is what gets you going, then so be it. If people get so offended by such things move to another country where you don't get Freedom of Speech. Simple enough. Stop squashing other people's opinions and desires.

    I agree babe.
