$1700 for the JDM AWD conversion kit plus cost of transmission from what I've heard.

I know. Maybe one day once I've picked up another car and have a better paying job, I'll consider it for myself.

Its not really a kit, like a turbo kit that you can buy off ebay or anything....its just the parts you need. Im sure labor will be a far cry from cheap...or affordable for that matter. If your lucky, maybe $8k for labor if you give the mechanic head...

there is a AWD Kit for the 98-02 bodystyle and i know because its the same as the Japanese version on the JP version has different sheetmetal but overall length and width and specs are close if not the same to the us version. and that kit is 1700 plus the cost of the tranny, fensport utilizes similar parts from over here and makes with they have in thier heads, for those of you who remember the corolla Alltrac, the system used on this current corolla is basically the same but with better advantages than the older setups.

yeah because i told you too hehe.

it's funny how fensport doesn't post prices on their web-site... i wonder what that 3S-GTE powered AE102 cost to build.

this is a shot in the dark here... but i think that you may be able to piece together engine mounts from the 5th gen celica seeing as how they came with both the Xafe and the 5sfe. im going to say that it could be accomplished for less than a few thousand dollars if you could manage wiring and a little fabrication.

Dr. Weak might have done a 3sgte swap... hopefully he will chime in with some experience.
