Ninth Place (tie:( 2007 Pontiac G6 GT 3.9
Ninth Place (tie:( 2007 Saturn Aura XR
Eighth Place: 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged
Seventh Place: 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
    Sixth Place: 2007 Volkswagen GTI
Fifth Place: 2007 Saturn Ion Red Line
Fourth Place: 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5SE
    Third Place: 2007 Mazdaspeed 3
Second Place: 2007 Toyota Camry V-6
First Place: 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX

I knew they were quick but I did not know they were on the heals of a lighter WRX. :) Impressive to me. Just waiting for them to perhaps fit a manual transmission.

My hope is that they do really well in NASCAR and attract an additional dimension of Camry Owner. :) Kind of like the Impala. Offer different engines and one with perhaps an SS(or TRD in this case) combo...

Oh well I can dream. Good job Toyota. :)

I still want one, but I have to keep telling myself, :"Its an automatic. Its an automatic." lol

yay for the WRX being on top!

the car will do well in NASCAR only if they have a good driver...the only thing that differentiates it from any other NASCAR vehicle is the shell.

dont forget that TRD builds their engines. its based on a carbed pushrod v8 like the others, but the engineering similarities stop there. if toyota has proven anything its that they know how to build a race engine...

the nascar teams that do good have been had a lot of time testing and get to know the engine and the car at certain tracks. the established teams will do better in the begining, but when the car of tomorrow is used permanently it will level the playing field. the only difference will be the engine in which toyota still needs to make sure they can last. reliablity in racing has given toyota problems in other forums of racing. example is formula 1. toyota had a hard time finishing a race in the begining and unless toyota has had enough testing, this could be a similar problem.

The Camry's 41ft-lb torque and ~70hp advantage must help a bit, then. ;)

    mazdaspeed3
    Horsepower 263 @ 5500 RPM
    Torque (lb-ft) 280 @ 3000 RPM

I already looked at the link. If everybody 'clicked the link and saw for themselves' and didn't say anything about it, forums would be rather quiet..

i was just helping you answer the question you posed...

someone should take the time to copy and paste all of the figures from each car.

im pretty sure that was a typo... just seems kinda odd that it takes ~15 seconds to hit 100 then another ~15 to go another 30.

u gotta notice the speed though, one says 130mph, the other says 120mph.... but 10 seconds for 10mph is kinda slow
