yes you can make it legal, but its gonna cost, its way too much for the same vehicle i have seen for a lot less over here, and even then with the total charges to change and have to US is still very low.

yep sounds about right. Skylines run very cheap and don't cost much at all to ship to the states.

and there are laws that say people arent supposed to smoke weed, there are laws that say people cant come here illegally, there are laws saying people shouldnt go over the speed limit... laws can and will be circumvented. people are still importing these and many other cars and driving them quite "legally"

There's around 6 or 7 R32's here locally I see almost on a daily basis. We canucks don't really have any stringent laws, you're basically allowed to import any vehicle thats 15 years or older, and are not subject to any safety or emission equipment requirements.

I want to import an R32 so badly. I'm totally in love with those cars. Only other car I'd pay to import is a Civic Type R (I know, it's a Honda, but it's the best Honda ever made, IMO). :D

I think u got it all wrong. I think it goes, that the R32's are okay to import if they are made legalized. Only certain R33's are allowed to be made legalized. And absolutely no R34's. The exception to this is if the legalization of any of the following were already completed before the legislation was put into effect.

no, she had it right. the cars that were "legalized" before the laws were put into place are grandfathered in and are exempt. the reason for the law was that motorex falsified crash tests on the r32 and r34 with info from the r33. therefore they only acknowledge info from the r33, and those are the only ones that can be legally imported and modified to be a legal WHOLE vehicle titled as a skyline.

though that may be true you can still get them over to the states for not much, but as stated above since so many people want them they can sell them very high, the only real expensive skylines are the 99 and up GT-R's which can run from te mid thirties to the mid fifties even here in Japan, same goes for the Silvia.

yes thats true but now since the laws are changing due to the year of the car it can be allowed I know that for a fact two Marines i know have already legalized two late model R34's that were imported to the states

Exactly. It's only illegal if you get caught. If Fast and Furious taught us anything it's that skylines can jump bridges so if they can do that then they can outrun a crown vic.

You gotta watch out tho, in F&F3, we learned that Japanese police cars can't catch you if you're doing over 180km/h. But I don't know about the Crown Vic's...... :haha:

    Indeed.

I saw this cop pull a crazy high-speed u-turn drift to chase down a red light runner.

if you can get a Z06 Edition Corvette to catch up to Ferrari then they are slow, but texas has some cars that can haul major ass. i have seem many of the local pd car.s take off, they are not slow at all. Any mustang, camaro, corvette and 6.1L impalas will take off and catch up to the majority of cars. I know that for a fact, ask my neighbor and his brother-in-law, they both got caught speeding well over high in the triple digits.

They drop the cash on the regular cars, but the only reason they have those four corvette Z06's is because they were donated by GM, the chargers, camaros and mustangs are just fixed up pretty decently. about 90% of the time you will see them on the interstate chasing high speed cars and trucks, they have chased a few exotics before and seem to do good, but anyway, they skyline can take off and it can fly back into the sky and land right back in Japan,..............................................okay so that last part didn't make any sense but its back on topic.
